Aamir Khan's Thugs of Hindostan opened to a historic response at the box office and raked in Rs 52.25 crore on its first day but soon it witnessed a drastic dip due to poor reviews and bad word of mouth. The three day total of TOH currently stands with the collections of Rs 105 crore. If we compare the three day total of Thugs of Hindostan with Race 3, it has earned lesser than the Salman Khan starrer, which had collected Rs 106.47 crore.

Looking at the current scenario, we expect the film to earn around Rs 130 crore in its opening weekend of four days to become the highest first weekend grosser of 2018. From Monday, we will get the clearer picture as the weekday collections will give us an idea about its lifetime business. The film is holding well in the mass circuits but witnessing a drastic dip in the multiplexes and metro-cities and that is the reason the drop in the collections are huge.

Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the business figures of Thugs of Hindostan in tweets he posted on Sunday.

Reportedly made on a budget of Rs 260 crore,  it is the costliest Hindi film ever. It also released in the IMAX and 4DX formats. Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya , the film also features Katrina Kaif, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub in pivotal roles. The music of the mega-budget venture is composed by National Award winning duo Ajay - Atul. As per our trade expert, the film has recovered a good chunk of its investment through digital and satellite rights and by cracking a deal in the Chinese market. Though the film will have to cross the Rs 200 crore mark theatrically to avoid the tag of FLOP at the box office. Well, let's see how Thugs of Hindostan fares during the weekdays.
