These are people with sharp acting skills and sharper business minds. They grab all the limelight on the screen and also laugh their way to the bank with their intelligent business ventures. They are not just great entertainers but even better entrepreneurs. Here is the list of some Bollywood stars who also have great business skills.
#1. Shah Rukh Khan: He is as good a businessman as an actor. With an incredible sense of marketing, King Khan rocks his businesses too. He runs a production house called Red Chillies Pvt. Ltd. and is the owner of the hot-n-cool IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders with Juhi Chawla and Jay Mehta. Recently, he has also bought 26 percent shares of the Indian franchise of KidZania, an international chain of family entertainment centres. He is known to take very active interest in all his business ventures to ensure that they are as big a blockbuster as his movies.
#2. Shilpa Shetty: This beautiful actress from B-town decided to participate in Big Brother, the show that was to eventually rev up her otherwise sinking career. A racial comment by one of the participants led to the portrayal of Shilpa as a victim and she went on to win the show. Putting her then popularity to good use, she launched a perfume, a fitness DVD and also became a partner of the IOSIS chain of spas in Mumbai. Her marriage to business tycoon Raj Kundra seems to have brought out the businesswoman in her. Together they bought stake in the IPL team Rajasthan Royals. Shilpa Shetty has undoubtedly done a ‘Halla Bol’ on the business arena in this new avatar.
#3. Sunil Shetty: Sunil is probably the smartest businessman in B-town. Being a fitness freak himself, Sunil runs a number of gyms across India. He also owns a production house by the name of Popcorn Entertainment, which has produced films like Khel, Rakht, BhagamBhag, Mission Istanbul, EMI, and Loot. Sunil is the owner of Mischief, a series of boutiques spread across Mumbai. He has even ventured into designing and development of luxury real estate projects through his venture S2 Reality. These entire aside, he runs a few restaurants in the city too!
#4. John Abraham: We loved his bikes, his body, and his acting abilities. And now we love him for giving us movies like Vicky Donor. The movie was produced by his production house JA Entertainment. Vicky Donor won accolades at the National Film Awards and John received the Creative Entrepreneur of the Year title at the seventh edition of NDTV Profit's Business Leadership Awards. Already showing signs of a brainy businessman, isn’t he? A known fitness enthusiast, with those abs, he is all set to gang up with British boxing legend David Haye to open up a fitness franchise that will focus on the art of boxing.
#5. Ronit Roy: Often called the Amitabh Bachchan of the small screen, Ronit has started making himself noticed o the big screen too with films like Udaan, Boss and 2 States. He owns a security service called Ace Security and Protection. His client list will make you go wow! This agency takes care of stars like Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Mithun Chakraborty.
