Navratri is a 9-day festival when 9 avatars of Goddess Durga are worshipped and celebrated. Each state in India celebrates this 9-day extravaganza in their own unique manner. Our Bollywood too isn’t behind in the celebrations and we can see a lot of the stars being a part of the festivities. Be it by worshipping the Goddess in their homes or organizing a garba or chowki at their homes, the stars don’t leave any stone unturned in the celebrations.

#1. Suhaag: Starring the Shahenshah of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan, and the evergreen Rekha, Suhaag was one of the prominent Bollywood films that glorified the festival of Navratri back in 1979. The devotional yet peppy song, that featured the lead actors performing dandiya, from the movie, O Sheronwali is still enjoyed in garba fests during the 9-day celebrations. Take a look at the video.

Ram Leela: The passionate couple of Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh also were not behind in portraying the 9-day fest being celebrated on the silver screen in the movie Goliyon Ki Rasleela-Ram Leela. The song Nagade Sang Dhol Baaje is one of the most-loved songs from the movie and portrays, Leela dancing during the Navratri Puja. It is common to find the number being played during Garba. The movie showed Goddess Durga being worshipped by the actors and the glorified the festival of Navratri.

#3. Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam: Who can forget the Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai starrer, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’s song Dholi Taro? The movie portrays on screen the amazing chemistry between the lead pair and the song is one of the most-played tracks during Dandiya raas anywhere in the country.

#4. Kai Po Che: Another movie that was based on Chetan Bhagat’s book, 3 Mistakes of My Life, Kai Po Che celebrated the true spirit of the festival of Navratri. Set in Gujarat, the land of Garba, the movie shows the 9-day festival being celebrated with Dandiya and Garba. The song Shubhaarambh from the film shows Rajkummar Rao with the actress from the movie shaking a leg to the trippy beats of the song. During the festival, the song is played in a lot of garba pandals across north India.

#5. Devdas: Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed this iconic movie celebrated Durga Pooja by bringing Aishwarya Rai and Madhuri Dixit together on the floors.
