'Mulk' is the story of a man called Murad Ali Mohammed, who is accused of being a traitor to India. A lawyer comes to his and his family's rescue and what begins next is an intense courtroom drama, which is sure to leave a deep impact on everyone.
This is Taapsee's second courtroom movie after 'Pink', the only difference is that the roles have been reversed this time. Instead of standing in the witness stand, she is donning the black coat of a lawyer this time. Taapsee has a fair share of some really intense dialogues and you have to watch the teaser to know what they are.
Mulk is directed by Anubhav Sinha, who has earlier helmed films like Tum Bin, Dus and Gulaab Gang. Mulk’s filming has been primarily done in Benares and Lucknow. The movie stars Rishi Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu, Prateik Babbar, Neena Gupta, Ashutosh Rana, Rajat Kapoor and Manoj Pahwa in significant roles. Mulk will hit the big screen on August 3, 2018, which already has Fanney Khan and Karwaan coming out on the same date.
