Mohenja Daro Movie Trailer Review

Extremely poor CGI & a fake cartoonish crocodile that jumps like a Cheetah at Jabalpur Bhedaghat (and we thought Mohenja Daro was in the province of Sindh, Pakistan) makes it a really disappointing trailer.

When the first Teaser of Mohenja Daro was released, what captured our mind was the enchanting music score of A.R. Rahman. Expectations were really high with the first Official trailer of Mohenja Daro. The official trailer of Mohenja Daro was released last evening shattering all our expectations and royally disappointing most of us.

Agreed that Hrithik looks good and Kabir Bedi acts wells and looks like a real bad man, but we were expecting to be transported back in time to the period of Mohenja Daro, but we were royally disappointed.

1. Location & the Sets: With Indians having easy access to the internet now, most of us have seen the Jabalpur Bedaghat and know that it is in Madhya Pradesh. Haven't we all seen Kareena dancing on 'Raat Ka Nasha Abhi' song in Ashoka at the same location? Mohenja Daro was a city located west of the Indus River in Larkana District of Sindh in Pakistan. It is disappointing that the makers chose Bedaghat to show that fake crocodile fight. The location chosen is very boring. Even the sets of Mohenja Daro city lacks finesse. The walls look so fresh, polished and untouched as if they were just created for shooting purpose. Everything looks fake here and not convincing enough for us to believe that Hrithik is actually a man from the city of Mohenja Daro.

2. Fake Crocodile: What on earth were the makers thinking when they decided to make that fake crocodile pounce on Hrithik like a hungry Cheetah. The agility of that fat fake Crocodile is commendable. We only hope that Bollywood learns from Hollywood and show us a better and believable next time. This crocodile looks as crappy as the cartoonish bull that fights with Rana Dugabatti in Bahubali.

3. Very Poor CGI: The aerial view of the city of Mohenja Daro appeared so fake and bad. Haven't seen a CGI as bad as this in a movie of this budget. It looked like an intro from a random PS2 Adventure Game. It is just not convincing.

We only hope that story and songs are good enough to make Mohenja Daro and watchable movie,
