M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story Movie Review

Directed by Neeraj Pandey and starring Sushant Singh Rajput, Anupam Kher, Disha Patani and Kiara Advani, M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story is a Bollywood biopic based on the life of Indian Cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The film has also been dubbed in regional languages and released across India and abroad on 30 September 2016.

 M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story is about a middle class boy from Ranchi who becomes the richest player in World Cricket. It shows us the struggle that Dhoni has to go through, his journey from a ticket collector to a Cricket World Cup winning captain of the Indian Cricket Team. The film takes us back in time and discover about Dhoni's steps, his loving family, his conservative father who is afraid of the risk of a sporting career, the coach who spots Dhoni's talent and his supporters and friends.

For the fans who idolize Dhoni, watching his story on the big screen is surreal.   Each aspect of Dhoni's life is brilliantly portrayed in the movie. The movie teaches us that only hard work can pave way to success. 

Sushant Singh is outstanding in his role as M.S. Dhoni, Anupam Kher is brilliant and Disha Patani does her job well too. 

The only flaw is the addition of the romance element in this biopic.  It wasn't required at all. The movie wouldn't have been 3 hrs long if that the romance element and songs were kept out. 

Neeraj  has also written the screenplay for this movie. The ecstasy of India's World Cup Victory has been recreated beautifully by Neeraj. He captures the emotions and joys that goes through the veins of every Indian while watching India play in the Cricket World Cup.

This movie is a good learning for all the kids. Perseverance, dedication and the will to succeed can get you places. You must watch it.
