Salman Khan's Relationship With His Stepmom Helen

Helen ruled the Bollywood film industry in the 50s and 60s era. She was the most popular Cabaret Queen of Bollywood and her natural acting skills made her extremely popular among cinema goers. Her beauty, grace and attractive personality not only impressed the cinema goers, but also many filmmakers, one of them being Salman Khan's father Salim Khan, who fell in love with Helen.

Salim Khan was already married when he started dating Helen. Salim Khan had dated Sushila Charak for 5 years before marrying her in 1964. Together Salim Khan and Sushila Charak have 3 sons - Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan. Salim Khan and Helen were so much in love that they decided to marry in the year 1980.

Sushila Charak, Salman Khan's mother was totally against the marriage and so were her children. Sushila Charak was depressed for many months due to this wedding. Salman, Arbaaz and Sohail didn't speak with Helen for many years.

However, time healed everything. Sushila Charak and Salman Khan realized that Helen was not as bad as they had imagined her to be. On the contrary, they found Helen extremely loving and caring and slowly started bonding with her.

Today, Salman Khan is extremely close to Helen, as close as he is to his biological mother. It is said that whenever Salman Khan brings a gift for his mom, Sushila, he makes sure to bring a second one for Helen too.
