Patrons at Inorbit Mall in Malad witnessed a massive ruckus on Sunday afternoon, when former India cricketer Vinod Kambli and his wife Andrea had fight with music composer Ankur Tiwari's father, complaint lodged.

Bollywood music composer and singer Ankit Tiwari got into a scuffle with cricketer Vinod Kambli and wife Andrea at a mall in Mumbai on Sunday. There was a brawl at the mall between Vinod-Andrea and Ankit’s father RK Tiwari which occurred after Andrea complained that Mr. Tiwari inappropriately touched her. Vinod allegedly punched Mr Tiwari (59) and Andrea took out her sandal to beat him up. Bangur Nagar police got involved in the case after a formal complaint was filed by the music composer’s family. ANI reported, “Singer Ankit Tiwari’s father RK Tiwari filed a police complaint at Bangur Nagar Police Station yesterday alleging he was punched by the wife of cricketer Vinod Kambli in a mall.”

The ex-cricketer’s wife alleged that Tiwari’s father brushed his hand against her. Speaking to Mumbai Mirror, Kambli said, “We were at the Game Zone in the mall around 3 pm when my wife caught hold of an old man’s hand. He had deliberately brushed his hand against her and when she caught him in the act, he pushed her away. Minutes later when we were at the food court, two men, who we assume were the man’s sons, tried to attack my wife. When I told them to back off, they told me, ‘You don’t know who we are.”

In his father’s defense, Ankur Tiwari revealed to Mumbai Mirror, “My father, a retired bank employee, had accompanied my daughter to the Game Zone. My father told me he spotted Vinod Kambli there, and as he was walking past a woman, he blacked out. My father was disoriented after the attack. He couldn’t believe he had been punched, and that a woman was screaming, accusing him of brushing his hand against her. I asked my father to identify the woman, and we realised she was Kambli’s wife.” He also dismissed Kambli’s claims about his father misbehaving with Andrea, he said, “He was abusing loudly, cursing everyone around. I asked him to speak to me politely, but he kept pushing me. His wife pushed me too. When I tried calling up the police, he snatched my phone. He even chased a woman to make sure she deleted the video recording from her phone,” Tiwari said. He also added that he and his father filed a complaint at Bangur Nagar Police Station.
