We wonder why Bollywood has stopped making movies for Children nowadays but there have been some movies in the past that Children loved to watch. These movies didn't do well at the box-office but children adore them. So here are the three movies that you may want to show to your children:
1. Taarzan: The Wonder Car
Taarzan: The Wonder Car was released in 2004 and directed by Abbas-Mustan. The film marked Ayesha Takia's entry into Bollywood. The film also stars Ajay Devgan and Vatsal Sheth. The film is inspired by the 1983 horror, Christine. The film was released as a part of launching of a car by the name Tarzan but the failure of this film at the box-office led to the scrapping of the car launch. Even though the movie was a failure at the box-office, its TV Premiere was one of the highest rated broadcast and the film was extremely popular among kids. Ajay Devgan's spirit possesses Taarzan and starts killing all the people responsible for his murder. Vatsal Sheth plays Ajay Devgan's son in the movie. 2. King Uncle
Released in 1993 and directed by Rakesh Roshan, the movie stars Jackie Shroff as King Uncle, Pooja Ruparel as Munna (An Orphan girl), Anu Agarwal as Jackie's secretary, Shah Rukh Khan as Jackie's brother and Nagma as the female lead opp SRK. Jackie Shroff plays the Khadoos King Uncle and an orphan girl tries to thaw the icy strict King Uncle. This Bollywood movie is a must watch for children. The songs are good. "Tare Aasman Ke Dharti Pe" is copied from an international song, but it is still a lovely composition. This movie didn't do too well at the box-office but kids loved it.
3. Ajooba Kudrat Ka
Most of us haven't even heard of this movie. Ajooba Kudrat Ka was released in 1991. This Bollywood thriller was directed by Shyam Ramsay and Tulsi Ramsay who are famous for their Bollywood horror movies. The film centres on the platonic relationship between a young girl and a Yeti (a Himalayan monster) and stars Deepak Parasher, Hemant Birje and Manjeet Khullar in the lead roles, supported by Shagufta Ali, Mac Mohan, Sudhir, Baby Shweta, Beena, Huma Khan, Johnny Lever, Goga Kapoor and Anil Dhawan. Show it to your kid and your kid would love it.
