Tanushree Dutta Rubbishes Bigg Boss 12 Rumours

Tanushree Dutta created an uproar by bringing the #MeToo movement to the fore in Bollywood last month after she revealed that veteran Bollywood actor Nana Patekar sexually harassed her on the sets of Horn Ok Pleassss in 2008 during the shoot of a song. She alleged that Nana wanted to do intimate steps with her in the song and when she refused, he got goons to attack her while she was inside her car about to leave the sets. An old video has since surfaced on the web which corroborates with her statement.

However, trolls were quick to pounce on her as rumours were abuzz that Tanushree Dutta may be joining Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 12 and all her allegations was a publicity stunt to garner attention as she enters the controversial reality show. The actress has now addressed that rumour and rubbished it on all accounts. In another developement, Tanushree Dutta has filed a complaint against Nana Patekar as well as choreographer Ganesh Acharya, who was instrumental in persuading her to do the intimate steps with the veteran actor in the song for Horn Ok Pleassss. 

Meanwhile, Tanushree had also alleged that director Vivek Agnihotri too had sexually harassed her on the sets of their film Chocolate (2005), Incidentally, the director asked her to strip and dance in front of her co-actor in the film Irrfan Khan and left her in shock. The actress revealed that it was Irrfan and later actor Suniel Shetty (also in the film) who rubbished the director’s request and stood up for her when she needed them the most. However, Vivek has since dismissed Tanushree’s allegations and also filed a defamation lawsuit against her.

Nana Patekar too has sent a defamation lawsuit to Tanushree Dutta for maligning his image in public, according to Nana’s lawyer as per reports. In the meantime, several Bollywood celebrities including the likes of Swara Bhasker, Richa Chaddha, Pulkit Samrat, Varun Dhawan, Parineeti Chopra, Arjun Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Priyanka Chopra, Sonam Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar and Kangana Ranaut, among others have come out in support of Tanushree Dutta.
