Shahid Kapoor starrer Batti Gul Meter Chalu: New Release Date Again

Actor Shahid Kapoor's upcoming comedy-drama 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu', which was scheduled to hit the screens on September 14, has got a new release date, for the second time. The film will now hit the big screens on September 21 this year.

‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ has been creating a humungous amount of buzz amongst the audience. With a promising storyline and a strong cast, the film is one of the most-anticipated films of this year. Shahid Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam starrer ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ directed by Shree Narayan Singh will now release on 21st September, 2018 as opposed to its old release date which was 14th September.

Noted film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the news on Twitter and wrote, "Shahid Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam... #BattiGulMeterChalu, which was slated for release on 14 Sept 2018, will now release on 21 Sept 2018... Directed by Shree Narayan Singh."

‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ is about bringing the social issue of electricity shortage to the notice of people and to encourage authorities to investigate the inaccuracies of electricity bills. Shot extensively in the major parts of the film were shot in Tehri, Uttarakhand and Mumbai, the film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Shree Narayan Singh, Nitin Chandrachud, Kusum Arora and Nishant Pitti.
