Directed by Kabir Khan and featuring Salman Khan and chinese actress Zhu Zhu, Tubelight is undeniably one of the most anticipated Bollywood movies of 2017. It is slated for June 25, 2017 release, however the movie has already raked in over Rs. 227 crore even before its official release and here's how:
- The makers have already sold their music rights and theatrical rights for record breaking prices.
- The movie has been picked up by NH Studioz in India. They have paid a whopping Rs 132 crore for its theatrical rights in India.
- Sony Music has snapped the music rights of the film ‘Tubelight’ for 20 crores. This is Sony Music’s first ever acquisition of Salman Khan Films.
- A Chinese company has also acquired the theatrical rights of ‘Tubelight’ in China for Rs 75 crores.
The movie is already a profitable venture as the total production cost of the company was around Rs. 100 Crores. The movie is based on Sino-Indian war and Shah Rukh Khan will also have a small role in the movie. Pritam has composed the music for Tubelight. Kabir Khan's last movie Bajrangi Bhaijaan didn't impress the audience with its music, hope this time the music is also a USP along with Salman Khan.
