Bollywood superstar Salman Khan will launch Asha Parekh's biography 'The Hit Girl' in Mumbai on April 10, 2017. Actress Asha Parekh is very close to the Khan family so it was natural for Salman to launch a book on her. maker-critic Khalid Mohamed has written the book, which charts the actress’s highs and lows. When Khalid asked Salman to write the foreword, he immediately agreed, but took a fortnight to come back with a ‘clean, pure copy’. ‘It’s Salman, dil se’.
Asha Parekh won a Fulmfare Award for Best Actress for her role in Kati Patang in 1971. SHe was also awarded the Padma Shri in 1992 and a Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award in 2002.
Asha Parekh has remained unmarried, claiming that her reputation of being unapproachable made people hesitate in asking for her hand in marriage. There were rumours that she was romantically involved with her married director Nasir Hussain.
Nowadays Asha Parekh concentrates on her dance academy Kara Bhavan and the Asha Parekh Hospital in Santa Cruz, Mumbai, named in her honour because of her many humanitarian contributions
