Salman Khan’s brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri has bought the remake rights of two South Korean films — Ode To My Father and Scandal Makers. OTMF was Korea’s second biggest hit to date. It was a 2014 South Korean drama film directed by Yoon Je-kyoon. Starring Hwang Jung-min and Yunjin Kim, it depicts modern Korean history from the 1950s to the present day through the life of an ordinary man, as he experiences events such as the Hungnam Evacuation of 1950 during the Korean War, the government's decision to dispatch nurses and miners to West Germany in the 1960s, and the Vietnam War
According to a Mumbai daily, Ode To My Father to be directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, starring Salman will be set against 1947 partition of India and Pakistan when lakhs of Hindus, Sikhs and Muslims were displaced.
Scandal Makers revolves around a former teen idol who works as a radio DJ and suddenly discovers he’s a father when a single mother appears in his life. Salman Khan won't be starring in this remake. The cast is yet to be finalized.
