Reasons Why Mohenjo Daro Flopped So Badly

Mohenjo Daro has flopped badly at the box office. A movie that was made at a budget of INR115 crore managed to collect only INR50 Cr in the first week.

The following reasons could be attributed to the terrible performance of Mohenjo Daro:

• Hrithik Roshan doesn't command the same fan following as the Khans or Akshay Kumar
• Accusations of historical inaccuracies
• Fake looking sets
• Atrocious make-up and costume that doesn't reflect the time that the movie depicts
• Competition with Rustom which was a better movie
• Horrible CGI. If Hollywood movies can do their CGI in India and look so stunning, then why can't Bollywood movies have the same special effects. The climax scene of Mohenjo Daro looked so fake, fake water, fake flood, gosh! we sense corruption here.
• Ashutosh Gowarikar isn't in sync with time. He still thinks that we all live in the 90s an we will accept whatever crap Bollywood dumps upon us.
• Pooja Hegde? She is the weakest co-star Hrithik could have ever got. She just has one expression all throughout the movie
