Ranking the Top 15 Bollywood Actors on Facebook

We decided to check which Bollywood actor had the most number of fans on Facebook. We knew for a fact that the Khans would definitely be on the Top, but we were in for a lotta surprises when we went to the official page of every Bollywood actor. We intentionally left out Abhishek Bachchan for his non-relevance in Bollywood and even left out Ritesh Deshmukh for he is not really an actor who appears solo in most of his movies. We took mainstream Bollywood actors into consideration to come to this Facebook popularity ranking.

Note: We did include Ranbir Kapoor in the ranking based on the number of hashtags on his name. Though he doesn't have an Official Facebook Page for us to judge on his fan following, but we all know how popular Ranbir Kapoor is and that he has been affiliated with some of the most amazing movies made in Bollywood in recent times. Leaving Ranbir Kapoor out of the ranking was not something that we wanted to do. 

As Expected:  The ranking of Salman Khan and Amitabh Bachchan didn't surprise us. We knew that they would be there in the Top 3 before we started researching on the FB Fan Following.

Surprises:

Akshay Kumar beating Shahrukh Khan was quite a surprise. As on August 4, 2015, Akshay Kumar had 2,00,70,979 Fans on his official Facebook page whereas Shahrukh Khan was slightly running behind with 1,99,73,490 FB Fans on his verified page.

Aamir Khan is not as popular on Facebook. We expected Aamir to be somewhere in the Top 4, but he was far behind Hrithik Roshan and even Shahid Kapoor.

Ranveer Singh performs abysmally on his official FB Page, he isn't as popular among the masses as other actors. Even Tiger Shroff and John Abraham have more fans as compared to Ranveer Singh.

The list begins and ends with Khans, Saif Ali Khan stands at the 15th spot far behind many leading actors in Bollywood. Surprisingly even Ritesh Deshmukh and Abhishek Bachchan have more fan following than Saif Ali Khan.
