After creating hurdles for Udta Punjab, CBFC is back to moral policing once again. This time it is refusing to grant certificate to Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer 'Haraamkhor' because of its 'objectionable theme'.
Haraamkhor is directed by Shlok Sharma and stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui & Shweta Tripathi in the lead roles. Based on real life events, the movie revolves around the illicit relationship between a 14-year-old school girl and her tuition teacher (played by Nawauddin). The film has received positive response from all quarters and has also bagged the Silver Gateway Award in the India Gold section of the 17th Jio MAMI Film Festival.
Jasleen Royal, who was one of the semi finalists in the first season of India's Got Talent in 2009 has composed the music for Haraamkhor.
