Kangana Ranaut Likes To be Creatively Involved In The Filmmaking Process

Director Hansal Mehta feels that Kangana Ranaut is a thinking actor and contributes a lot in the process of film-making.

Kangana Ranaut finished the shooting of Hansal Mehta's Simran where she plays a divorced Gujrati memsaab. She plays a Gujarati immigrant in America involved in criminal activities. In addition, Ranaut is committed to star in Ketan Mehta's biopic on Rani Laxmibai. Ranaut will also be making her production and directorial debut with an English language short film entitled The Touch, dealing with the relationship between a four-year-old boy and a dog; she co-wrote the screenplay with an Australian writer and completed principal photography in America.

Director Hansal Mehta who worked with Kangana Ranaut feels that Kangana is very creative and always adds to a film with her creative inputs. Mehta who recently shot Simran with Kangana, is happy about his product, that is a collaborative work between the director and his actors. “We live in a democratic county and I see it as a collaborative effort. Kangana is a thinking actor and she has collaborated with us very closely on Simran. The film has shaped up really well,” he said.
