Anuradha's husband Arun Poudwal was Assistant to the famous composer SD Burman. Arun himself was a music composer. In 1973 Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bhaduri's 'Abhimaan' was being shot and SD Burman was composing the music for it. Meanwhile, Burman remembered the verse that his assistant Arun had recorded in the voice of his wife Anuradha.
In the nineties, Anuradha Paudwal was on the peak of her career, at the same time her husband Arun died in an accident. After this family's responsibilities were on Anuradha. Anuradha Paudwal made a distance from playback singing on the peak of her career. She told the reason behind this that people will remember her only if she leaves working at a peak.
