Deepika Padukone - Irfan Khan In Sapna Didi Biopic

Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan were seen together in Piku and it did extremely well and walked away with many awards. The duo will soon be coming together once again for a biopic on Sapna Didi - a Mumbai mafia queen of the '80s.

According to reports on a daily, the film is slated to release in October 2018. Currently, Irrfan is busy with 'Doob: No Bed of Roses' and 'The Song of Scorpions' while Deepika will soon be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmavati' which also stars Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in the lead roles.

Married to a gangster and contract killer Mehmood Kaliya, Sapna Didi a.k.a. Rahima Khan came into the news after she became furious when her husband was killed by D-Company. She swore to revenge his death. Sapna Didi married a serving sub-inspector but her secret lovers did not let her live long when she retaliated against Dawood. She was brutally murdered at her residence at Nagpada in February 1990. 'Sapna Didi was surrounded by Dawood's men. Instead of killing her at one go, they decided to put her through slow, intolerable brutality. Perhaps they had been instructed to make an example out of her death for anyone who even thinks about taking on Dawood' 'They continued to stab her, targetting her breasts and her vagina the most.
