China Helps Dangal Surpass Bahubali 2 Worldwide Collections

Aamir Khan's 2016 Bollywood movie Dangal has surpassed the worldwide collections of recently released Bahubali 2. This feat was possible thanks to the Mandarin dubbed version of Dangal being released in China and it getting a tremendous response from the Chinese audience.

According to Boxofficeindia.com, Dangal has grossed $123 million in China so far and lifetime business of $4.72 million in Taiwan which is almost $128 million of its $158 million overseas total. It has grossed four times more in Mandarin than in Hindi in Overseas markets.

Though Dangal has surpassed Bahubali when we look at the worldwide gross, it is still short of Bahubali 2 for it being declared as a blockbuster as the India distributor share alone of Bahubali is more than the worldwide share of Dangal.

The India share of Bahubali 2 is 600 crore already while Dangal worldwide share is 485 crore. Bear in Mind that Bahubali has released in April 2017 whereas Dangal was released in December 2016.
