Budhia Singh: Born To Run Wins Best Film Award In Florence, Italy

Bollywood movie "Budhia Singh-Born to Run", a biopic based on child runner Budhia Singh was screened at the River to River Florence Indian Film Festival in Italy on December 6, 2016.. The film is based on the relationship between Budhia and his judo coach Biranchi Das, played by Manoj Vajpayee. Das rescued the little boy from one of Bhubaneswar's notorious slums, discovered his talent and helped him achieve incredible heights. Das was shot dead in Bhubaneswar in April 2008.

The movie won the River to River Audience Award for Best Feature Film. Manoj Bajpayee shared the news on his Twitter handle.
