23 y.o. Sakshi Malik has made India proud by winning a bronze medal at Rio Olympics. She is the first Indian female wrestler to win a medal at the Olympics. Sakshi Malik was born in Rohtak, Haryana on 3rd September 1992. She had previously won silver medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, and bronze medal at the 2015 Asian Wrestling Championships in Doha.
She will walk away with the following awards for the bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics:
INR2 crore (US$300,000) from the Government of Haryana, in addition to a state land grant.
INR50 lakh (US$74,000) from the Indian Railways, as its employee.
INR20 lakh (US$30,000) from the Indian Olympic Association.
INR15 lakh (US$22,000) from the JSW Group
INR1.01 lakh (US$1,500) from Salman Khan
She is destined for stardom and we congratulate her on this outstanding achievement. Bollywood is also not behind in celebrating her victory. Bollywood celebraties have taken to social media to send their congratulatory message to Sakshi Malik.

Aamir Khan congratulated Sakshi Malik on her achievement. Interestingly, Aamir Khan's upcoming movie Dangal is also based on wrestling.
