Bollywood Actress Jacqueline Fernandez Turns 31

Jacqueline Fernandez was born on August 11, 1985. She turned 31 today. Not many people know that this Bollywood beauty hails from Sri Lanka. She was born in Bahrain. Her father is from Sri Lanka and her mother hails from Malaysia.

Jacqueline hosted TV shows in Bahrain at the age of 14. She later pursued a career in mass communication and worked as a TV Reporter in Sri Lanka.  Even though she was a TV Reporter, she continued modeling as well and was crowned Miss Sri Lanka 2006 and went on to compete at Miss Universe 2006. She performed miserably in the preliminary interviews and prelim evening gown and swimsuit rounds and failed to place in the Miss Universe Top 20 (Miss Universe 2006 was won by Puerto Rico and India's Neha Kapur was in the Top 20).

While Jacqueline was in India to complete her modeling assignment in 2009, she auditioned for Sujoy Ghosh's Aladin and got selected for the role. The movie bombed at the box office but Jacqueline appeared in Murder 2 in 2011 and the movie was a commercial success. She appeared in several multi starrer Bollywood movies post that but never garnered praises for her acting ability.

We know that the girl is talented but we only hope that this day gives her wisdom to choose better roles and show us all the acting talent that she has. We wish her a Happy Birthday.
