Veteran actor Om Puri passed away in Mumbai on Thursday evening. He was 66. Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit, who was a close friend of the actor, first confirmed the sad news of his demise on Twitter. Puri returned home last evening after a shoot. Reportedly his door bell went unanswered on Friday morning, following which his driver raised an alarm.
Bollywood is mourning the sudden demise of this legendary actor.

Director Kabir Khan was shocked to hear the news as he was on the sets laughing a few days ago and he stated that we have lost one of the greatest actors of our time.

Om Puri recently worked in a Pakistani movie and was a famous figure in Pakistan. Pakistani news anchor Hamid Mir paid his tribute to this great actor and stated that Om Puri will always be remembered for his efforts to support peace between India and Pakistan

Mahesh Bhatt was deeply saddened by the news and bid Om Puri a goodbye and stated that a part of him also goes with Om Puri today.
