Badrinath Ki Dulhania

First thing first. Badrinath Ki Dulhania is not a sequel to Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. Badrinath Ki Dulhania is an upcoming Bollywood movie directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Karan Johar. Shashank Khaitan had also directed Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania.

Badrinath Ki Dulhania will feature Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan in the lead roles.

Music: Badrinath Ki Dulhania will have a lotta romantic songs just like Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. Samjhawan song from Humty Sharma Ki Dulhania was a very popular track.

Badrinath Ki Dulhania will be shot majorly in North of India.  Alia and Varun will be seen conversing in the nothern dialect to make the characters sound real. In a recent interview to Filmfare, Varun said “It’s not a Humpty Sharma… sequel exactly but a second instalment... it’s about a guy called Badrinath who is from Jhansi, and whatever happened in his and his Dulhaniya’s life and how things follow forms the crux of the story. It has a lot of drama in it; it is a bit more grown up than Humpty… It gets a little darker with twists and turns which people won’t expect in a Dharma movie and I am very excited about it. The director Shashank Khaitan is from theater so he insisted on lot of rehearsing and workshops to both of us.”

Interestingly, Varun is also doing a sequel to Davind Dhawan's Judwaa which featured Salman Khan in a double role. Varun's movie will be Judwaa 2.  Davin Dhawan will be directing the sequel.

Badrinath Ki Dulhania is scheduled to release on 10 March 2017.
