Badhaai Ho box office collection Day 10: Ayushmann Khurrana's 76 crore till second Saturday

Badhaai Ho, produced by Junglee Pictures, earned Rs 6.5 crore on its second Saturday. That is an impressive figure considering that the film was not a solo release last weekend and is battling other Bollywood and Hollywood films.

Badhaai Ho, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Sanya Malhotra, Neena Gupta, and Gajraj Rao, is doing extremely well at the domestic box office. Badhaai Ho's collections are actually growing in the second weekend. In its first four days (the film opened on a Thursday to take advantage of the Dussehra holiday), the film earned Rs 45.06 crore (Rs 7.29 crore earnings on Thursday, Rs 11.67 crore on Friday, Rs 12.6 crore on Saturday, followed by Rs 13.50 crore on Sunday). In the second weekend, Badhaai Ho brought in Rs 3.40 crore on Friday and Rs 6.50 crore on Saturday.

This means Badhaai Ho has earned Rs 76 crore till its second weekend. With Sunday's figures yet to come in, it definitely seems that the film is on a quick march towards crossing the Rs 100 crore mark. Badhaai Ho clashed with Parineeti Chopra and Arjun Kapoor's Namaste England. The Vipul Amrutlal Shah-directed film is a "disaster" at the box office and managed to rake in merely Rs. 7.75 crore, a Box Office India report stated. "Namaste England is a disaster at the box office as it collects Rs. 7.75 crore net in the first week and will finish up with just Rs. 8 crore net lifetime collections. This is lower than the first weekend of Namastey London which did Rs. 9 crore net plus over the weekend," the report stated.

Badhaai Ho is a family comedy about a middle-aged couple with a son of marriageable age, who suddenly find themselves expecting a baby. The film, which tackles the societal taboos surrounding this pregnancy in a humorous way, has been directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma.
