Song - Mirzya Title Song
Singers– Daler Mehndi, Sain Zahoor, Akhtar Chinnal, Nooran Sisters
Chorus – Shankar Mahadevan,The Salvation Singers, Nikita, The Salvation Singers

Mizya title song is no doubt the best in the album thanks to the energetic voice of Daler Mehndi and the chorus voices. After a long time do we get to hear the Chorus voices in Bollywood songs witht his Album. Chorus voices used to be extremely common in old hindi songs, probably that is why those songs are still playable. It kills the monotony that a solo singer song can put in a song. I will be very honest, the lyrics of the song went over my head because i am not a Punjabi but the music and those lovely "Talaffooz wale words" incorporated by the genius lyricst Gulzar Sahab makes this song very unique. Baat hai Gulzar Sahab ke gaane mein jo Javed Akhtar ke gaano mein nahi hoti. In fact Javed Akhtar's songs are very forgettable and they have become very "Chalooo types". Gulzar has that premium feel in his lyrics. The words are so unique and it shows the brilliance of this writer, poet. Mirzya title song evokes a lotta emotions. Daler Mehndi deserves an award for this song. Filmfare, are you reading this? Nominate him please.

Song: Teen Gawah Hain Ishq Ke
Singer: Siddharth Mahadevan ,Sain Zahoor
Chorus – The Salvation Singers, Loy Mendonsa

Teen Gawah Hai starts with a haunting music. It is the same music that was used in the first teaser of Mirzya. This one has that Dil Chahta Hai feel. Dil Chahta Hai was also a Shankar Ehsan Loy composition. The Chorus voices are powerful here. The song is soothing, it will probably grow on you with time. It may not be as good as the title song but we reckon this will get popular with romantic song lovers. The only complaint here is the male singer voice, probably this could have been a high pitched song as we heard it in the teaser.

Song: Chakora
Singer: Mame Khan,Shuchismita Das,Akhtar Chinnal
Chorus – Shankar Mahadevan & Shuchismita Das

I don't have much to write about this song but it is not a song which I would play on a repeat mode. A lotta people sing this but it is not as impactful. The melody isn't great either. Quite a forgettable song.

Song: Aave Re Hitchki
Singer: Mame Khan,Shankar Mahadevan
Chorus – Sapna Pathak, Arsh Mohammed, Rehan Khan, Firoz Khan, Farhan Sabri

Amazing folk song. Aave Re Hitchki is quite different from the songs that we get to hear these days. This one definitely has a repeat value. Again the chorus voices are impactful. The only complaint here is that musicians intruding in the singing department. Agreed Rahman and Shankar are good singers but we don't really get why they have to sing. Professional singers definitely do a better job. If only Shankar had taken a folk song singer, may be someone with that Rajasthani Lehjaa of singing, the song would have been a little better than this version.

Song: Hota Hai
Singer: Nooran Sisters,Sain Zahoor,Akhtar Chinnal,Daler Mehndi
Chorus – The Salvation Singers, Shankar Mahadevan

The same line that we heard  Om Puri recite in the 2nd trailer of Mirzya. This is a fast number, folk like but the song sounds confused. Yaar Om Puri se hi yeh gana gawa lete.  This ain't a great song. Theek thaak hai. There is no song which could be termed as Bad..but this ain't good either.

Song: Ek Nadi Thi
Singer: Nooran Sisters,K. Mohan

Ek Nadi Thi, is it a song? Bada Hut kay hai... more like a few story tellers telling us a story. I loved the voices here. This ain't a melodious song

Song: Doli Re Doli
Singer: Shankar Mahadevan,Mame Khan

Yet again, Music Director Bhai Sahab comes to sing. Yaar we want to listen to some good singers sing such song. When Shankar sings a song, we visualize his round face instead of Harshwardhan Kapoor, but when a professional singer sings, we visualize the actor. That is the difference. This is a slow song and cute enough to listen to a few times.

Song: Kaaga
Singer: Kaushiki Chakraborty

Beautiful song by Kaushiki  Chakraborty. Classical lovers would love it.

Mirza Theme - Broken Arrows
A very slow music but very captivating, so touching, so emotional. This is probably played in the ending scene when Saheba breaks Mirzya's arrow and her brother's reach the spot and kill Mirzya and later she commits suicide.

Overall Rating:  We expected the music to be spectacular but it has just 1 powerful song. Overall, we give it 3 on 5 rating.
