Delhi-based rapper KRSNA has come out with a new single to take a jibe at the recent Indian Premier League (IPL) anthem song plagiarism row.
Titled "Say my name", KRSNA's new song is meant to reiterate his earlier allegation that IPL has plagiarised his 2017 track, "Dekh kaun aaya waapas", to create the cricket tournament's anthem for 2020, which goes "Aayenge hum wapas". Following this, IPL anthem composer Pranav Ajayrao Malpe had shared that the Music Composers Association of India (MCAI) has discredited KRSNA's plagiarism charges.
Now, KRSNA has released "Say my name" to take a dig at people who take away credit.
"Dedicated to those who hate me but won't take my name, and those who love me enough to copy my songs but won't give me credit," he described his new song, out in English and Hindi.
" 'Say my name' is my attempt at doing something that had never been done before
