Hrithik and Sussanne dated for four years before tying the knot in 2000 soon after the successful release of Hrithik Roshan's debut movie Kaho Na Pyaar Hai. Together they have two sons. They ended their marriage in November 2014.  There were various rumours circulating in the media pertaining to their divorce. It is said that Hrithik Roshan's alleged affairs like the ones with with Barbara Mori, Kangana Ranaut and Kareena Kapoor made Suzzanne extremely insecure and jealous, so much that she resorted to drugs and became a drug addict. Though these are still rumours, you can see the change in Suzzanne Khan's face esp. her eyes look very doped in all her recent pics. With drugs like Meth and MD becoming common in Mumbai, Suzzanne's drug addiction cannot be ruled out. Suzanne was also rumoured to be involved in a relationship with Arjun Rampal and this further worsened the situation. The two called it quits but still meet and spend time together with their kids on different occassions.

Farhan Akhtar married hairstylist Adhuna Bhabani in 2000, after being in a relationship with her for 3 years. Adhuna worked with Farhan in his directorial debut Dil Chahta Hai in 2001 which also marked her debut as a Bollywood hairstylist. The couple have two daughters named Shakya and Akira.  On January 21, 2016 the couple officially announced their separation after 16 years of marriage. The couple stated that they had grown apart over the years and therefore mutually and amicably decided to separate. According to DNA Report, Farhan Akhtar's closeness with actress Aditi Rao Hydari was the main reason for his marriage ending in a divorce.  Aditi Rao Hydari was Farhan’s co-star in the recently Bollywood thriller Wazir, and the growing closeness between the two caused multiple fights between Farhan and Adhuna. Farhan, who has a reputation of attending parties with Adhuna, turned up alone in his last few social appearances. However, he showed up with Aditi Rao Hydari in a party organised by Karan Johar in early 2016, and managed to grab a few eyeballs. Apparently Adhuna did not approve of this at all and decided to call it quits.

Bollywood film maker Anurag Kashyap met actress Kalki when he was directing her in Dev D in 2008. Anurag was at the time married to Aarti Bajaj, who edited most of his films till 2009. They got divorced in 2009. Anurag was extremely attracted to Kalki. Kalki was initially unaware of Anurag's extreme liking for her, but she realized it later when Anurag started frequenting Kalki's plays and started watching almost every show. In an interview, Kalki stated, " "I was attracted to his honesty. We are both very emotional creatures". Soon after they started dating, the two  decided to move in together. They were in a live-in relationship for two years - from 2009 to 2011. Anurag Kashyap got married to Kalki in a private ceremony in Ooty. Their relationship started deteriorating a year after their marriage. Anurag got involved in movies and Kalki was at home, not signing up any movie for 6 months. Anurag was also rumored to be dating Huma Qureshi. Kalki had stated in one of her interviews that Anurag gets easily influenced by people and by whats happening around him. Anurag also had the tendency to get angry about very small things and that over time started affecting his relationship with his wife.

"I used to tell him that the sky won't fall if you switch off your internet for a day. You don't have to argue with every banda on twitter. But he would get sucked into it and waste his energy on that and that would frustrate me. I could see it affect him in everything in his life, be it his work or our relationship. Twitter is just an example, but it could be anyone commenting. We live in an industry where everyone has views and they will judge you without knowing you and that is a frustration you will live with all your life if you don't let go. I too used to get upset, but learnt quickly that you can't get so affected by everything that is said," Kalki had said in an interview to Times Of India.

Anurag and Kalki issued a statement to the media in 2013 which read, "Me and Kalki are separating, we are taking time off from each other to figure things out. We are not divorcing. We request the media to please respect our privacy and give us our space and not speculate. Thank you, Kalki and Anurag."

Manisha remained single for a long time and decided to get hitched in 2010. On 19 June 2010, Manisha Koirala married Samrat Dahal, a Nepali businessman in Kathmandu. They met through the online social networking website, Facebook. Manisha was going through a rough patch in her marriage and this was evident through her posts on her social media networking account. In one of her Facebook posts, she mentioned:

"My husband has become my enemy. How much worst can it become for a women?" Their marriage ended up with a divorce in 2012.

Karishma Kapoor was to marry Abhishek Bachchan. She got engaged to Abhishek Bachchan in 2002, but the engagement was called off after a few months. On 29 September 2003, she married industrialist Sunjay Kapur, CEO of Sixt India. The couple have a daughter Samaira, born in 2005 and a son Kiaan born in 2010.  In 2014, the couple filed for a divorce through mutual consent and the divorce was finalized in 2016. In his divorce petition, Sunjay Kapur had alleged that Karisma Kapoor married him for his money and ‘in a calculated and clinical manner’, sponged off his family to pursue a lavish lifestyle. The petition also said that Karisma not only failed as a wife and daughter-in-law but also as a mother.  It is now rumored that Karishma Kapoor is dating Mumbai based businessman Sandeep Toshniwal.

Their relationship was not strong enough to keep the two lovers together for life. Well, 13 years and two children later, Saif and Amrita had a highly-publicised divorce. Saif is now married to Kareena Kapoor and together they have  a son born in December 2016.

Later Kamal Haasan got married to Saarika in 1988 but their relationship didn't last too log. Kamal Haasan's affair with his co-star Simran Bagga (22 years younger than him) triggered the breakup. Kamal and Sarika got divorced in 2004. .

Kamal Hasan was in a live-in relationship with Gouthami, a renowned South Indian star from 2005 till 2016. Gautami had announced on her blog that she had ended her relationship with Haasan. Gautami wrote on her blog: “It is heartbreaking for me to have to say today that I and Mr. Haasan are no longer together. After almost 13 years together, it has been one of the most devastating decisions that I have ever had to make in my life".
