Anubhav Sinha

Anubhav Sinha worked as an assistant director to Pankaj Parashar until 1994 before branching out as an independent director for television for Zee TV. He received notice for his work on Shikasht, the flagship show of the TV network "In Mumbai". This was followed by the TV show Sea Hawks for UTV. Sea Hawks was the number one show for 35 weeks across all networks. Later, he turned to directing music videos.

In 2000, he left work on music videos to start his first feature film Tum Bin. In July 2001, Tum Bin and Aks were released on the same day. Tum Bin beat Aks in box office receipts.

Sinha's second feature Aapko Pehle Bhi Kahin Dekha Hai, also with lesser known actors in lead roles as was Tum Bin, did not fare well at the box office.His third film, the multi-starrer Dus, had the biggest opening weekend of 2005. This was followed by Tathastu and Cash. Ra.One, with a budget of ₹1.8 billion (US$27 million), released on Diwali of 2011, was considered a much awaited film of 2011.
