Karwaan Weekend Collection: Irrfan Khan-Dulquer Salmaan Film Holds Strong At B.O.

The positive word of mouth has worked in favor of Irrfan Khan-Dulquer Salmaan starrer Karwaan. The film has collected 8.10 cr on its opening weekend. The film also marked the Bollywood debut of Malayalam heartthrob Dulquer Salmaan and internet sensation Mithila Palkar.

With positive word-of-mouth and reviews, Irrfan Khan-Dulquer Salmaan starrer Karwaan races ahead of the other releases- Fanney Khan and Mulk on Day 3. Early estimates revealed that the film continued to show an upward trend and minted around Rs. 3.70 crores on Sunday. The estimated total weekend box office opening for Karwaan is Rs. 8.10 crores.

It seems like the positive word of mouth has slightly worked in favour of Irrfan Khan-Dulquer Salmaan starrer Karwaan. After having an opening collection of Rs. 1.50 crores, initial reports suggest that the slice-of-life road trip flick has raked in an estimated collection of Rs. 2.40 crores on Day 2.

While the film has received good reviews, it has still faired well to draw in numbers at the box office counter. As per early reports, the film has minted an opening collection of Rs. 1.50 crores. Since the last few days before the release of the film, Dulquer Salmaan, Mithila Palkar, and Akarsh Khurana have been on their toes promoting their film. The early reviews of the film has been good and celebrities have lauded it for its refreshing story and impressive performances. Due to limited promotion, this kind of opening had been anticipated by the trade pundits.
