The Supreme Court has given a green signal to Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film Padmavat. The Supreme Court has removed the ban on the film in 4 states. At the same time, after the judgment pronounced by the court, the Rajasthan government convened an emergency meeting and during the meeting, discussed the next step of the government on Padmavat and issued notification against the film. Rajasthan government has said that we also have some constitutional rights and we will take a decision in this regard soon. Rajasthan is the state where the opposition of the film started and only then the other states followed suit.
On the other hand, Raipur's Rajput Kshatriya Mahasabha's State President has given a big statement saying that his society will not accept the Supreme Court's decision. He has also said that the protest against the film 'Padmavat' will continue.
On the verdict of the Supreme Court, Haryana's minister Anil Vij said, "SC gave the decision without hearing our side. After reviewing this decision we will appeal wherever possible.
The film was banned in Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan and Gujarat. After the SC's decision, the film can now be released across the country. The release date for this movie has been fixed on January 25. This film will be released in Hindi as well as in Tamil and Telugu languages. The film stars Deepika Padukone as Rani Padmavati, Shahid Kapoor as Maharawal Ratan Singh, Ranveer Singh as Sultan Alauddin Khilji. Aditi Rao Hydari, Jim Sarbh, Raza Murad and Anupriya Goenka.
