August 13, is a great day for a lefty; it’s annual Left-Handers Day. From scissors to knives, Left-Handers are the brunt of jokes all year long for various different things. But this is the day to ignore that, and bring awareness to all the right-handed folk around the globe in celebration of Left-Handers Day, after all, while right-handed people operate in the left side of the brain, left-handed people sure the right side. Therefore, only left-handed people are in their right mind.

According to a theory, such people tend to become a mastermind as they use both sides of the brain and are able to process information more easily. Almost 10 to 13 percent of the population is left-handed and going by the fact there are fewer people, the world has more geniuses comparatively. With only 10 percent of the population being left handed, various items are more expensive than their right-handed counterparts. Objects like scissors, knives and even school desks can see a mark up of almost 75 percent more for left-handed individuals, while golf clubs see as much as a 200 percent increase dependent on brand.
