Lion is an upcoming movie starring Dev Patel, Rooney Mara, David Wenham and Nicole Kidman. Directed by Garth Davis. The movie is based on a true story. A five-year-old Indian boy gets lost on the streets of Calcutta, thousands of kilometers from home. He survives many challenges before being adopted by a couple in Australia; 25 years later, he sets out to find his lost family.

The film had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 10, 2016. The film is scheduled to be released on November 25, 2016. The film received positive reviews with the performances of Patel and Kidman receiving praise after its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.
