Trade analyst Ramesh Bala took to Twitter to confirm the news and wrote, “#JhanviKapoor and #IshaanKhattar starrer Hindi remake of Marathi Blockbuster #Sairat will go on da floors from Dec 1st.. @karanjohar co-prod”.

The shooting for the Hindi remake of Marathi movie Sairat will commence on December 1, 2017. Co-produced under the banner of Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, the movie will mark Bollywood debut of Sridevi's daughter Jhanvi Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor's brother Ishaan Khattar. Sairat means Wild or Unrestrained. Marathi language movie Sairat was released in 2016 and became the first Marathi movie to earn Rs 100 crore at the box office.
