Produced by Atul Agnihotro, Bharat will be directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and will be releasing in Eid 2019. Bharat is an official adaptation of 2014 South Korean film, Ode to My Father which depicted modern Korean history from the 1950s to the present day through the life of an ordinary man. The film was identified as potential content for the Indian masses, post the screening at Berlin Film Festival attended by Atul Agnihotri.
It will be the third that that Salman Khan will collaborate with Ali Abbas Zafar. Ali Abbas Zafar has also directed Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai. Also it will be after a gap of six years that Salman Khan and brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri will re-unite together for the project. The film will hit the screens in 2019, and shooting of the film will begin in April 2018. The team will be shooting in Abu Dhabi, Spain, and India.
