Good news for Rani Mukerji fans, she will be making a comeback after 4 years with the movie "Hichki"
The movie is an adaptation of Hollywood movie Front of the Class (2008), which further was based on the book, Front of the Class: How Tourette Syndrome Made Me the Teacher I Never Had by Brad Cohen.
Yash Raj Films acquired the rights of the book and changed the lead from a male to a female teacher with Tourette syndrome.
Rani Mukerji plays the role of "Naina Mathur" who wants to be a teacher despite her condition. However, she has to face a lot of difficulties getting recruited in a school.
Eventually, she is accepted in a school to teach kids from slums who are given admission in this school due to the "Right to education program". These kids themselves work to make a living and are not accepted by others around the school due to the background they come from, have a reputation of being troublemakers and no teacher is interested in teaching them.
This movie is about how a teacher overcomes the obstacles of her condition and teach the kids who do not know the value of education.
It is essential for today's films to highlight every aspect of life and how people with health conditions struggle daily to lead a normal life.
It will also bring awareness about "Tourette syndrome" and make us more compassionate towards others with other conditions.
This movie is going to inspire a lot of people to accept their situation and embrace what life throws at them and still prevail."Hichki" is going to release on February 23, 2018.
It is produced by Yash Raj Films and directed by Sidharth P Malhotra.
