John Abraham's 1st Marathi Film: Savita Damodar Paranjpe Releasing on 31 August 2018

Actor-producer John Abraham is excited about his debut Marathi venture Savita Damodar Paranjpe, A Psychological Thriller Film. He said regional films always offer better content as compared to Hindi films.
This film is based on a known Marathi play with the same title that was released in the eighties. It was directed by Shekhar Tamhane and has Reema Lagoo and Rajan Tamhane in the lead role, with the star cast and his involvement, the play has raised quite a few eyebrows as well but things settled soon.
John said this on Wednesday while interacting with media here at the trailer launch of "Savita Damodar Paranjpe" along with the film's actor Subhodh Bhave, Raquesh Bapat, Trupti Toradmal, director Swapna Waghmare Joshi and film distributor Kumar Mangat Pathaki. He also said he would love to act in a Marathi film.
The film will be presented by J. A. Entertainment and Panorama Studios, and it will be produced by John Abraham and the director of the movie is Swapna Waghmare. The makers are trying to rope in Subodh Bhave in the lead role for the said movie though nothing has been officially confirmed. Besides, this man, we also have stars like Trupti Toradmal and Rakesh Bapat in the lead roles. Shirish Latkar is the man who has written the story of the film and the music is composed by Nilesh Mohrir and Amit Raj who would be doing the music.
Savita Damodar Paranjpe will release on August 31.
