If I can remember is right, once Actor Ranbeer Kapoor said “I will be very upset if director Vikramjit Singh worked with some other actor”, trust me, after watching Vikramjit Singh’s debut movie ‘Roy’ we can assure that Ranbeer Kapoor wanted this sabotage on art to be stopped with this title.
.
Roy can compel producers to go back start their construction business.
Kabir Grewal (Arjun Rampal) is a successful film maker and screenwriter busy making movies based on a thief's life. To shoot his trilogy, he visits Malaysia, where he meets a London based film-maker Ayesha Aamir (Jacqueline Fernandez). Kabir and Ayesha grow love. Ayesha gets to know about Kabir's Casanova attitude; she breaks up with him and returns to London. Cast down Kabir hits the down days and returns back to Mumbai, leaving his film in the air. After efforts Kabir finds no climax for his story. Meera's (Shernaz) asks Kabir to visit a film festival as a jury member. Ayesha, thinking that Kabir is following her, asks him to stay away from her life.
Roy (Ranbir Kapoor) is an art thief also an outlaw He is out to steal an expensive painting only to find that its owner is the beautiful Tia (Jacqueline Fernandez) so Roy tries to befriend Tia in an art auction and soon impresses her with his charm. Roy steals Tia’s heart and painting to run with both.
This is one of the most confusing, dull and boring narrative structure a director has adopted in recent times. Poor camera work and mumbo jumbo dialogues make it intolerable as the audience expects a fresh air of entertainment. If it is a cameo for Ranbir Kapoor then why the producers didn’t maintain that on posters. Title of a film on a cameo character?? You don’t pay hard earned money on few songs. The only saving grace of this movie is the music.
