Raman Raghav is a Bollywood Psychological Thriller directed by Anurag Kashyap based on the real life psycho serial killer 'Raman' from 1960's Mumbai. It revolves around two characters - Raman and Raghav. Raman (Nawazuddin) is a psycho guy who grew up in slums and never got any respect and Raghav (Vicky from Google India's latest Ad) is a cruel cop who grew up in a decent family. The psychology of both the characters is same. The movie shows that irrespective of the background that you grow up in, there are situations where you would react in a particular fashion.
Acting wise, the movie is brilliant. Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Vicky Kaushal have done a great job. Even the supporting cast consists of good actors. Raman Raghav 2.0 is extremely dark and glorifies gore. Even the dialogues are bold, even bolder than Udta Punjab, but it is fun to watch if you go prepared. The pace of this film is very slow but the build up of the story is extremely interesting. Background score is beautifully synced with the movie and doesn't sound distracting. The first half is good but the 2nd half makes the audience lose interest.
If you are fond of love stories and light entertainment, then skip this movie, but if you are ok with a movie filled with sadism and gore, this movie will definitely not disappoint you.
