In Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3, Sanjay Dutt tries to revive his famous ‘swag’, but it's not like his earlier films. Here’s movie review of director Tigmanshu Dhulia’s new film.

Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3 is a continuation of the story of the earlier film. Saheb (Jimmy Sheirgill) is in jail for a murder charge), and is smoldering to get even with his wife when he comes out. Biwi (Mahie Gill) is still a nymphomaniac but is also dabbling into politics and has become a power broker of sorts for the region. She wants her husband to rot in the jail for as much time as she can possibly arrange. The Gangster (Sanjay Dutt) is the new entrant to the game. He's a goon based out of London, who runs a club called House Of Lords and has a fetish for playing.

Director Tigmanshu Dhulia’s new film, Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3, tries to be a political thriller but fails to look any different from Race 3, which released last month, where everybody is plotting against everybody. Aditya Pratap Singh (Jimmy Shergill) and his wife Madhavi (Mahie Gill) are still playing games with each other. Aditya, who was jailed in the previous film, has returned and is trying to reclaim his political legacy. After some twists and turns, he meets a London-returned Rajasthan prince Uday Pratap Singh (Sanjay Dutt), and that begins a chain of accidents.

It has taken the third Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster installment five years to take shape. One had expected time to add value to it. That does not seem to have happened. Devoid of the delirious energy, sly swerves and deeply melancholic core that defined the earlier entries, Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster 3 struggles, for the most part, to hit the ground and run. Actually, whatever worked in the previous films is absent here and add-ons are totally out of sync.

The royals of Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3 patronize obscure traditions and look more of characters from ‘70s film.
