Great Grand Masti is about 3 sexually deprived married men and a female ghost whose spirit resides in a Haveli after she died without fulfilling her carnal desires. She must make out with one of the three main leads for her aatma to attain Mukti, but the person who does make out with her will also die.
Ritesh Deshmuukh plays a Sex Doctor and the owner of a Haunted Haveli in a village called Doodhwali. Aftab Shivdasani plays a real estate agent. Vivek Oberoi plays the third lead who is also unable to fulfill his carnal desires because his brother-in-law's presence.
The sexual comedy between Aftab Shivdasani and his Sister-in-law is damn funny.
The most hilarious scene was the mountain echo point scene between Aftab and his client.
The scene where their wives describe the Haveli to a Gigolo (played by Shreyas Talpade) is filled with hilarious double meaning dialogues. Humorous Vulgarity at its best.
Ritesh Deshmukh's Shiney maid scene is quite cliched but good to watch.
The dialogue writer deserves a mention for his creative and hilarious dialogues like:
- "Gaave meiin aao.. Basi paav"
- "Ham teen bhai hai.2 gaye kaam se..main hoon raamsay."
- "Aapke Ghadi mein hamesha 6.30 baje hai"
Verdict: Overall Great Grand Masti is an entertaining sexual comedy. Some scenes are quite stretched. While some of the dialogues are really funny, the other ones are very cliched and boring. Aftab Shivdasani and Ritesh act well, however Vivek Oberoi doesn't fit in this role. The three actresses cast opposite the main leads are terrible actresses viz. Pooja Bose, Mishti and Shraddha Das. Usha Nadkarni is awesome as Ritesh Deshmukh's mother-in-law. Sanjay Mishra as Antakshari Baba is extremely boring esp. in the first half. Former Miss India Universe Urvashi Rautela as Ragini SMS ghost is perhaps the weakest actor of them all. Her role required the most powerful performance but she leaves a lot to desire. If only the makers had roped in a talented actress for her role, this movie would have been really interesting. Watch Great Grand Masti once as it will not fail to entertain you.
Warning: Watch it alone or with friends or your partner. Do not watch it with your family/kids/Parents.
