An endless chase of nothingness, this Fan is better when 'turned off'.

After a not so entertaining movie 'Dilwale', Shahrukh Khan returns with 'Fan'. Expectations from SRK movies are always high and it is no different this time as well. Fan is a thriller directed by Maneesh Sharma starring Shahrukh Khan in the lead roles. The story is about Gaurav (SRK), who is an obsessive fan of Bollywood Star Aryan Khanna (also played by SRK). When things do not go according to plan, this obsessive fan crosses turns foe.

The movie's biggest problem is probably SRK himself as audience isn’t prepared to see their icon in a negative role. Another major problem with Fan is the basic premise based on which Gaurav - a die-hard Fan of Aryan turns into his biggest enemy. It is not convincing at all and extremely frivolous.

The make-up that differentiates between a 48 year old Actor and his 22 year old die-hard fan is quite inconsistent and at times we feel that they both are same; which they are but it damages the whole cinematic effect and the entertainment factor.

The film totally rides on SRK's shoulders. Dialogues are Okay. Music is very mediocre for an SRK movie. Overall this movie is only meant for crazy fans of SRK who don't mind consuming a bad product delivered Maneesh Sharma. Fan is like a noisy ceiling fan that is better when 'turned-off'. Fan struggles due to its poor script and this film is recommended only for die-hard Shahrukh Khan Fans.
