Actress-singer Mandy Moore says working on the popular TV show "This Is Us" has been a highlight of her career.

In an interview for the September edition of "Vera" Magazine, Moore has opened up about playing the role of Rebecca Pearson, reports "dailymail.co.uk".

"It's been the privilege of my career thus far, portraying this woman and every different iteration of her life and all of the challenges that she faces. She's a complete bad***," Moore said.

Rebecca is the matriarch of Pearson family in the series that goes back and forth between past and present in the lives of the extended Pearson family. The show, aired in India on Star World, will be back for a fourth season soon. The third season ended with Rebecca seen as a frail and bedridden old woman.

"It was the last thing we shot for this season and walking on set, people kind of avoided my gaze, avoided eye contact. I understood -- it was jarring to look in the mirror for me, too. There's something really humbling about being in that moment, but also utterly heart-breaking. I won't say it's the final moments of her life, but the end is definitely near and that's hard, for the audience and the actor," she said.

In the series, Moore is seen with Milo Ventimiglia who plays her husband Jack and their three children are played as adults by Chrissy Metz, Justin Hartley, and Sterling K. Brown.
