Actress Karen Gillan is set to star in sci-fi thriller "Dual" along with Aaron Paul, Beulah Koale, Martha Kelly and Jesse Eisenberg.

Actress Karen Gillan is set to star in sci-fi thriller "Dual" along with Aaron Paul, Beulah Koale, Martha Kelly and Jesse Eisenberg.

The movie is being helmed by director Riley Stearns, reports hollywoodreporter.com.

The film follows the life of a terminally ill woman (Gillan) who opts for a cloning procedure to ease her loss on her friends and family. When she makes a miraculous recovery, her attempts to have her clone (also played by Gillan) decommissioned fails, which leads to a duel to the death.

Stearns wrote the script and will produce the movie alongside XYZ Films. The project is expected to be up for sale at the virtual Cannes market.A

Gillan was most recently seen in the "Jumanji" sequel, "Welcome to the Jungle", and made her feature directorial debut with "The Party's Just Beginning".

She next will be seen in the spy thriller "Gunpowder Milkshake". Paul can currently be seen in the third season of the HBO series "Westworld".
