"Supernatural" star Jared Padalecki will soon be seen in a reboot of "Walker, Texas Ranger".
A new version of the classic Chuck Norris-led series show is being developed by CBS Television, with Padalecki essaying the title role, reports "variety.com".
The series will focus on Walker after he returns from years of undercover. He is a widower and a father of two, and his life changes when he starts fighting crime with his new partner, a female ranger.
If the project gets greenlight, it would allow Padalecki move beyond "Supernatural", which wraps up after 15 seasons this year.
Anna Fricke is attached to write and executive produce the new series.
In addition to Norris, the original "Walker, Texas Ranger" also featured Clarence Gilyard Jr., Sheree J. Wilson, and Noble Willingham.
