It's been over two months since the 66th National Film Awards were announced, and actor Chandrachoor Rai, who received a Special Mention for his film "Kadakh", still cannot get over the surprise. He feels the feat will give his acting career a boost.

"It is not often that an actor with such a nascent career is put in the pages of history by being awarded the National Award. I read through the recipients of the award that I got. It is a shot in the arm. 'Kadakh' will remain a favourite for a long time," Chandrachoor told IANS.

Chandrachoor has recently featured in Netflix's "Upstarts".

"Upstarts" follows the journey of three young college graduates Kapil (Priyanshu), Yash (Chandrachoor Rai) and Vinay (Shadab Kamal) from a small town in India, who are captivated by the startup mania sweeping the country. They decide to start their own company that will change the world. It delves into the question: What has greater value, their dreams or their friendship?

After seeing the trailer, several people claimed that the film looks similar to the international show "Silicon Valley".

"I saw 'Silicon Valley' recently and I loved the show, but saying our show is similar to that show because it has a couple of friends and a startup in the plot would mean all films are same. 'Upstarts' deals not only with what happens in the world of startups but also people and their emotional cores, because they face unforeseen success and failures suddenly," said Chandrachoor.
