The trailer that we have all been waiting for is finally out. Tubelight's trailer was released last night. Though the trailer doesn't reveal much about the story, the ending of the trailer shows Salman Khan doing something impossible thanks to his faith and confidence. For those who love to watch good actors in movies will be disappointed royally because this one has Sohail Khan, who has tortured us with his overacting in many movies. Thanks to his brother's Sifaarish, he has bagged this role. We really hope Sohail doesn't get more than 10 minutes of screen space :P
Rumours are that the movie is an adaptation of Hollywood movie Little Boy. In the movie Little Boy, when mechanic James Busbee (Michael Rapaport) is sent to fight the Japanese during World War II, he leaves behind his wife (Emily Watson) and two sons, London (David Henrie) and Pepper (Jakob Salvati). Pepper feels his father's absence most keenly, and can't wait for him to return home. An encounter with a magician (Ben Chaplin) and advice from a priest (Tom Wilkinson) convince Pepper that the power to bring his dad back safely may be within himself and his actions.
Shah Rukh Khan has a small role in the movie. Many found the title of the film rather intriguing. According to reports, Salman essays the role of a man with special needs. He reportedly plays a man-child who is slow in picking and learning things, thus presumably earning the moniker of ‘Tubelight’. Despite his shortcomings, the character sets out on an unimaginable journey to find his brother (Sohail Khan), who has gone missing post the Indo-China war.
Interestingly, Director Kabir Khan obtained an NOC (no objection certificate) from the makers of the Kannada film ‘Tubelight’ since they originally owned the rights to the title.
