Directed by Carlos Bolado, 3 Idiotas is the Mexican remake of Bollywood movie 3 Idiots (2009) directed by Rajkumar Hirani. The plot remains the same - a group of friends embark on a fun adventure determined to find a college roommate who disappeared without a trace on graduation day. Even the name sounds the same. While Aamir was Rancho, Alfonso Dosal plays the lead role of Pancho.
3 Idiotas is scheduled to release on June 2, 2017. As of now there is no news of it releasing in India or for that matter an English version of the film. 3 Idiotas is a Spanish language film primarily catering to Spanish speaking audience.
